ABOUT COLLEGE The college was established on 2nd September, 1968 with the joint effort of Smt.Addepalli Vivekananda Devi, a great educationalist and dynamic social worker and Sri Krovvidi Lingaraju, a freedom fighter of the locality. The college has been named after the wife of Sri Kandukuri Veeresalingam, a social reformer and writer of the locality who donated all his lifetime earnings to Hithakarini Samaj which owns the college along with a few educational institutions from K.G. to P.G. level, in different fields of education. The college had a humble beginning in thatched huts in hired plot with 27 students and 15 teachers. Sri P.V. Narasimha Rao, the then Education Minister of Andhra Pradesh and later Prime Minister of India laid the foundation stone of the college. The college was shifted to the present premises in 1970.
